Dragon Burn 2023
March 25 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Annual Dragon Burn, hosted by the Pamlico Arts Council, is Saturday, March 25.
What’s a Dragon Burn?
A dragon effigy is constructed behind the Red Rooster Bar (located behind the Silos Restaurant in Oriental). This is a fan favorite every year!
There’s food, a cash bar, and music – the Southern Hellcats play the Red Rooster Stage. The Chinese Dragon will make an appearance, dancing through the crowd. The dragon burns after sundown. Want to be the Official Fire Starter (the one who lights the dragon)? We got you covered with a live auction at 7pm – highest bidder snags the official title and will get to light the fire at 7:45pm.
Cost of Attending:
This is a ticketed event (free to current members of the Arts Council) and membership drive.
If you’re not currently a member, you can sign up at the door: $25 for individuals or $50 for families, and you become a member of the Pamlico County Arts Council.
What’s included in your membership?
In addition to being the first to know about our events and opportunities, you’ll also enjoy a nice discount for ticketed events as a member. And, our undying gratitude for joining with us to bring life to the arts in Pamlico County.

A big shout out to Lily Parrish from Arapahoe Charter School whose artwork was chosen for this year’s media. It was a tough choice, but we think Lily nailed our theme this year.
Congrats Lily!
