Programs

A key component of our mission is to increase access to the arts for children in Pamlico County. While we do a lot of fun events that you've attended or heard about, we host other programs in the schools that you may not know about.

Just a little about what we do and why

We want to be sure that every child has access to various art forms, which have been shown to:

Enhance creativity
Improve academic performance
Improve emotional development
Improve motor skills development
Boost confidence and self-esteem
Enhance communication skills
Increase cultural awareness and empathy
Develop persistence and discipline
Improve social skills development
Relieve stress

And that's to say nothing of having fun! So, we look for opportunities to share music, painting, writing, and more with our children.

Songwriting

We host periodic workshops featuring various types of music where children learn how to write their own songs.

Gingerbread Decorating

We provide all the supplies for decorating gingerbread houses and cookies, and children are encouraged to explore their creativity.

Student Calendar

Every year, students in the schools are given a theme and encouraged to come up with drawings or poetry to submit for our annual student calendar.
